Always and for Never consists of paintings revolving around the recontextualization and unearthing of cultural symbols, codes, and iconography. The reductive nature of the works create an ebb and flow of emerging materiality and disappearing visual narrative; allowing for information to be recoded for reinterpretation. Reini’s minimalist style serves as the platform for his question: what new truths can be derived from rediscovery? Beneath the layers of time, under the cracked codes, a new programming emerges.
